Being a hipster is all about staying out of the mainstream trends, avoiding any kind of mass market fashion directions.
Being a hipster means keeping your mind fresh and living the life you want, despite all the articles in the glamour magazines and the so-called “intelligent life” newspaper articles.
Nowadays, there are two types of hipsters: Those that are only interested in the looks, simply following the fashion stream and the ones called proto-hipsters. These are the real ones, who were here before and will remain when people will follow the next big trend. By the way, whatever happened to all the emo kids?
People find it difficult to separate the true hipsters from the fashion ones and so they simply assume that being a hipster has only to do with the appearance, which by the way is very appealing.
The real hipsters are free and independent spirits, they prefer vintage clothing and are truly selective when it comes to music and the arts.
What is really surprising about them is that when trendsetters came their way, hipsters turned the other way, in an honest effort to avoid becoming banal and at the same time to remain original.
They sound pretty interesting, don’t they?
If you think that a hipster name is a temporary trend, don’t forget that fashion comes back every twenty years.
So, in twenty years, your baby will have again a very stylish name!
