Melody

Of Greek origin.

The word melody was formed from Late Latin and Old French compositions of two ancient Greek words: “Mέλος”, pronounced melos, meaning “song” and “Αείδω” / “Άδω”, pronounced aeido, meaning “to sing”.

Famous bearers are Melody Gardot, Melody Thornton, Melody Klaver.

Melody Gardot is an American musician, vocalist and songwriter.

She has a strong personal style, influenced by great R&B, jazz, blues artists.
