Xenia

Of Greek origin.

Means “hospitality”, “hospitable”.

From the Greek word “ξένος”, xenos, meaning “guest, foreigner”.

“Xenios” was one of the Greek god Zeus’s epithets, because he was not only the king of the gods, but he also was the patron of hospitality, “xenia”.

Saint Xenia the Righteous of Rome, was born into an upper class Roman family and was baptized Eusebia. She travelled to the Greek island of Kos in the Aegean Sea and became a deaconess.
